The Datsun 280Z (Fairlady in Japan) was built to compete with the best sports cars Europe had to offer. The first generation, sold from 1970-1978, was a smashing success. The range included the 240Z, 260Z and this 280Z. They featured sleek designs, classic sports car proportions and performance that worried much more expensive machinery.
