Built as a homologation special using knowledge gained by their F1 experience, the Ferrari 288 GTO was truly a "race car for the road." Sporting a 2.8 liter twin turbocharged engine (that would later be sharpened and put in the F40), more muscular bodywork and tuned suspension, the 288 GTO still stands as a high water mark in Ferrari history.
